The Out for Undergrad Business Conference, a national LGBTQ+ undergraduate business conference, is now accepting applications to attend. The final deadline to apply is January 1, 2022. The conference is being held in New York City from April 8-10, 2022. The conference includes panels that cover various queer issues in the workplace, along with the opportunity to network with LGBTQ+ students and businesspeople from all over the country. In addition, lodging and travel expenses are covered for all accepted applicants.

Alumni Panelists Share Their Outlook for Global Business

Four alumni from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business offered their perspectives on global business during the event, “Distinguished Speakers in International Business Series: Global Competencies for the 21st Century Workplace,” describing what they expect work to look like in a post-COVID-19 world, and offering advice to current students.

Alumni Speak on Being Black in Global Business

Maryland Smith alumni shared their thoughts this week as part of the “Passion for Diversity Dialogue Series: Black and Abroad” panel discussion. The virtual event was hosted by the Center for Global Business in partnership with the MBA Association and Black MBA Association, as part of a weeklong lineup of events marking International Education Week.

Maryland Hillel is gearing up for a Hanukkah event you won’t forget! Spin Love Not Hate is an interfaith and cultural event aimed at creating dialogue across differences on the University of Maryland campus. Through speakers, tabling, and a world record-breaking dreidel spin, we hope to bring together students, faculty, staff, and the community to understand how hate on campus not only hurts individuals and their community but the campus as a whole. We hope you are able to partner with us by promoting this event, as well as hosting an information table.
